Meet Dr. Bill Thompson
Dr. Thompson grew up in Missouri in a small town of 1,100 people. He completed his undergraduate education at Missouri State University and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Missouri. During dental school, he was selected to receive the U.S. Army Health Professions Scholarship.
Dr. Thompson entered the U.S. Army as a Captain. After completing a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Fort Carson, Dr. Thompson and his family moved to Germany. He was the officer in charge of a dental facility and the sole dentist providing dental care to 2,700 soldiers, their families and civilians.
In 2004, Dr. Thompson moved back to Colorado Springs and founded Pine Creek Dental. Since then, he has dedicated himself to improving his patients’ oral and overall health through every stage of life.
Dr. Thompson loves being a dentist and admits what he enjoys most about his work is developing lasting, trusting relationships with his patients and their families, both professionally and personally. He also enjoys working alongside his talented team to restore and create brilliant smiles.
He has completed an Advanced Trauma and Life Support Course and is Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified. Dr. Thompson stays current on the latest dental techniques and technologies by receiving continuous educational credits from the Spear Education Faculty Club. Additionally, he has composed and published a periodontal surgery article in General Dentistry, a coveted peer-reviewed journal.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids. They love traveling, camping, hiking, cooking, studying history, and scuba diving. A little-known fact is, Dr. Thompson has a need for speed and loves racing cars at the track. Luckily, he’s only had one accident, but sadly it involved his beloved race car.
